Pieterburen lies in the heart of this unique cultural landscape, and you can still enjoy wonderfully peaceful cycling tours here. Hop on your bike and cycle from village to village to discover charming galleries, museums, beautiful churches, and borgen (old castle farms). Cycle along the sea wall on the Wadden Sea towards the west, on your way to Lauwersoog, and enjoy a delicious fresh fish in the harbor there. You can also catch a boat to Schiermonnikoog from here – a truly unique experience!
Are you a nature lover? Then the Lauwersmeer area is highly recommended. You'll find countless bird species and charming beaches perfect for swimming. If you cycle east along the Wadden Sea dike, you'll arrive at Noordpolderzijl, the smallest tidal harbor in the Netherlands, with a charming traditional Dutch pub.
Our standard bikes are perfect for day trips in the area. For longer rides or simply a more comfortable ride, we recommend our premium bikes. We also have modern e-bikes with a range of 80–100 km and a powerful Bosch motor. There's usually plenty available, but reservations are definitely recommended. The parent-child tandem has limited availability and must be reserved in advance to avoid disappointment.
